Depart Miami for Quito, Ecuador with a stop over in Guayaquil. Go through customs and immigration. Transfer to the centralized 5 star Colon Hilton. (Dinner on plane) NOV 10 TUE - QUITO- Today enjoy a full day Equator Tour combined with a tour of colonial and modern Quito. Drive through this beautiful city and its colonial center visiting the Cathedral, Government Palace, the La Compania Church with its ornate golden alters, then drive through modern Quito. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Overnight at the Hilton Hotel. (B & L) NOV 11 WED – UIO/GYE–SAN CRISTOBAL 2K #032 8:20AM/10:30AM - Transfer for flight to Galapagos. Arrive and continue on to the deluxe M/V Explorer II to settle into your cabin. Flight schedule allowing, a brief visit to Cerro Brujo a wonderful introduction to the Galapagos with a short trail leading to a beautiful sandy beach good for swimming. Pelicans and other Galapagos sea birds fly overhead. (B, Snack & D). NOV 12 THU - GALAPAGOS ISLANDS – In the AM visit Punta Suarez on Espanola Island – one of the most spectacular spots in the Galapagos. Here you’ll look for sea lions and groups of iguanas basking in the sun. Inland, Masked and Blue-footed Boobies nest beside the trails. In the PM a visit of Gardner Bay, Hood Island one of the islands most beautiful beaches where you will have time to walk and deep-water snorkel. (B, L & D)NOV 13 FRI - GALAPAGOS ISLANDS – In the AM land on Santa Cruz to visit the Charles Darwin Station. At the station you can see the Galapagos tortoise-breeding center as well as learn about the research conducted on the island. Afterwards, you can stroll through Puerto Ayora one of the largest towns on the Islands. In the PM visit Rabida Island a small island covered by dry vegetation. It has a central volcano and the largest variety of lava types. Walk to the top of the trail for a fabulous view. Snorkeling possible if schedule/time allows. (B, L & D)NOV 14 SAT - BALTRA–GUAYAQUIL 2K#035 12:30PM/3:00PM – In the AM disembark by zodiac ride to Baltra pier and after a 15-minute bus ride to the Baltra Airport for your flight to Guayaquil. (B & S) NOV 15 SUN - GUAYAQUIL- Morning city tour visiting such beautiful sites as the Centennial Park, the Spanish shipyard now a Naval Museum, the Colonial Metropolitan Cathedral and the “Park of the Iguanas”.
