BARCELO MONTELIMAR BEACH HOTEL
Barcelo Montelimar is about 1 hour away from the city of
Managua (same distance from the Managua International Airport).
Located right on the beach, this 210-hectare holiday resort is the perfect place
for families or couples to spend their vacation. Because of its many facilities
and entertainment, it is also recommended for incentive trips.
Rooms
The hotel's 290 rooms, including 212 bungalows, each have a fully equipped
bathroom, two double beds or one king-size bed, balcony or terrace, air
conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, telephone and safe.
Facilities
There are 2 restaurants - buffet-style with a wide selection of regional
specialties; and a second restaurant specializing in charcoal-grilled meats.
Other facilities include 2 swimming pools (one has a snack bar and is considered
to be the largest swimming pool in Central America), a bar on the beach,
Jacuzzi, gym, hairdresser's, massage service, pharmacy, spacious terraces and
gardens, gift shop, jewelry boutique, travel agency, discotheque, casino and
small zoo. Also, it has 12 rooms for conventions, a business center with
secretarial service, fax and modem.
Sporting Activities
For sports lovers, there are two tennis courts, a soccer field, mini golf
course, athletic track, horseback riding school, and all the necessary
conditions for water sports such as scuba diving, kayaking or windsurfing.
The hotel offers a complete entertainment program for children and adults.
There is also laundry and medical service, car rental, postal service, fax,
e-mail and Internet access, as well as a travel agency which offers a complete
program of tours to places around the country.
The hotel also has its own airport, with a 2000-by-50-meter runway, suitable for
small private aircraft.
