DAY 01 ASUNCION-IGUAZZU:

Very early morning transfer from your hotel to the bus station and departure in regular bus line to Foz de Iguazú Arrival, reception and transfer to hotel selected.

Afternoon visit the National Park of Iguazzú and its majestic water falls. You will an incredible spectacle of 175 cataracts, literally, miles of water hurtling over precipices higher than 30 story buildings.  (View is from the Brazilian side).

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 02 ITAIPU DAM-ASUNCION

Morning visits Itaipu Dam, one of the largest hydroelectric plants in the world. Later transfer to the bus station to take the bus  regular line to Asuncion. Arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 01 ASUNCION-ENCARNACION

Six-hour ride to the City of Encarnacion, visiting en route Ita, where all year round local artisans exhibit raw ceramic works. Yaguaron, superb expression of the Spanish-Guarani Baroque art. Gold plated carvings with native and religious motif enhance this XVII century temple. Arrive at Encarnacion. Accommodations at Hotel Novotel.

 

DAY 02 ENCARNACION-IGUASSU

Breakfast and departure to visit upper and lower Encarnacion, followed by a visit to the Jesuits Fathers Indian Reductions of Trinidad (17th. Century). Later, crossing farm lands and wheat and Soya plantations, arrival to the Friendship Bridge over the Parana River. After immigration check point on the Brazilian side. You will proceed to Foz do Iguacu for accommodation at Hotel Bourbom (CB).

 

Day 3 IGUASSU-ASUNCION

Early breakfast. Afterwards, a 30 kilometers ride to the National Park of Iguassu and finally, the grand view of hundred of cascades falling into the Iguassu River Canyon. Walk towards the Devil’s Throat cascade , in the afternoon, the visit continues to the largest hydroelectric dam in the world: Itaipu. Finally, return back to Asuncion. (CB).

NOTE: For FIT’s and small groups, the regular tour includes the round trip transfer from the hotel to the bus station, the ticket for the regular bus line Asuncion-Encarnacion-Foz do Iguacu (non stop en route). Meeting, transfer and tours to the Jesuit Ruins of Trinidad. Iguacu Falls Brazilian side and Itaipu. Dam. Staying overnight in Encrnacion and in Foz do Iguacu, including breakfsat. YACUTINGA LODGE FROM IGUAZZU

Day 01 - Foz de Iguassu / Yacutinga lodge

Transfer from hotel in Igauzzu to Puerto Tigre. At 15:30 transfer from Puerto Tigre ( Argentina) through the Argentinean Iguazú National Park, during this ride the guide will explain some details and curiosities of the rain-forest. Arrival at La Blanquita Bay, located at the shore of the Iguazú river. Navigation in motor-boats through these waters for about 45 minutes up to Yacutinga Port. Upon arrival jeep transfer through the Yacutinga Wild Life Nature Reserve to the Lodge. The combination of various means of transportation provides a great start as this allows the visitor the opportunity to "melt" in a comfortable way with the wonderful natural world of wild fauna. Check in and briefing about the place , the system of the Lodge and activities. Welcome dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 02 - Yacutinga Lodge

Early breakfast and short hike to the San Francisco river and floating through quiet waters, ideal for photo safari. This floating tour is very secure , the water of the river is gentle and it goes down current. The possibility to observe wild fauna through this " Gallery Forest" from a very close distance exists, since fauna is more active in the early morning. Return to the Lodge. Lunch. Afternoon escorted wild life excursions to the various interpretation trails and at the early evening visit of one of the observation towers for night games with scopes, binoculars and strong spotlights. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. (B-L-D).

Day 03 - Yacutinga Lodge / Foz de Iguassu

Breakfast and time for track scouting, listing (complete checklist of viewed fauna) , packing and relaxing at the pool area. Self guided tours at the hanging "cat-walk " and the "orchid's trail". Transfer back to Puesto Tigre (Argentina) leaving at 12:15 (Lunch-box), arriving at 13:30 hs.(B-L). Transfer to your hotel in Iguazzu.
